Zambia To Celebrate The 27th African Statistics Day.

The government of the Republic of Zambia through the Central Statistical Office is this week commemorating the African Statistics Week with a view of raising awareness on the importance of statistics to the general public. The African Statistics week celebrations was launched on the 12th November, 2017 by the Minister of National Development Planning, Honorable Lucky Mulusa. On the 13th of November, 2017 the Central Statistics Office held a media briefing in order to educate media houses on how to report various statistics. Click here to download the weekly programme.


Inflation Goes Up in Zambia

Zambia's inflation rate has increased by 0.3 percent for the month of June marking a continued upward trend. Central Statistical Office acting director Peter Mukuka said the increase had been caused by increase in the price of food and non food commodities. Source: http://zambiareports.com


Demographic Health Survey cardinal task

Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Peter Mwaba said during the ZDHS training for enumerators that, good quality statistical data is critical in determining the effectiveness of health sector programmes and policies, which ultimately assists programme managers to set targets and monitor out-comes, design development policies and make strategies and evidence-based decisions about the allocation and management of the scarce resources.... ZICTA and CSO sign MoU

THE Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Statistical Office (CSO) aimed at facilitating exchange of information and sharing of skills between the two institutions for the benefit of the sector....
