Our mission

The mission statement for the Central Statistical Office, which it endeavours to accomplish, is:

“To coordinate and provide timely, quality and credible official statistics for use by stakeholders and clients for sustainable development”.

This mission statement implies that CSO will play a crucial role in coordinating and delivering the National Statistical System, which will be central to provision of a broad range of statistical data, necessary for monitoring the implementation of national development initiatives.

Goal Statement

To give CSO a specific focus and direction, the Goal is stated as follows:

“To achieve an effective, efficient and coordinated National Statistical System (NSS) that will ensure sustainable production and disseminating of demand driven official statistics for national development”.

Through this goal, CSO endervours to provide a national framework for a broad range of statistical data and services to stakeholders in an efficient and user-focused manner.
