The Board of Directors is responsible for providing strategic policy direction to the Agency. The Board consists of eight (8) members appointed by the Minister of Finance and National Planning. The functions of the Board are to;
Promote effective governance of the Agency;
Formulate the policing programmes and strategies of the Agency;
Approve the annual work-plans, statistical release calendar and activity reports of the Agency;
Approve the annual budget estimates and financial statements of the Agency; and
Advise the Minister on matters relating to statistics.
Elizabeth Musukwa is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in strategic management, administration and business development. She excels in developing strategic plans, policies, and managing projects, financial planning and budgeting while also specializing in marketing, training, mentorship, and building robust organizational systems. A proponent of proactive approaches and commitment, she is an effective cross-functional team player.
Her career includes roles as Academic Registrar at Cavendish University Zambia, and leadership positions at the University of Lusaka, ACCA Zambia, and the Zambia Institute of Banking and Financial Services. Currently, she serves as the Director of Education and Training at the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Copperbelt University and an MBA from the University of Lusaka. She is an Associate Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing and a member of the Institute of Directors of Zambia, serving on its Membership and Publicity Committee. Additionally, she is Vice Chairperson of the Zambia Statistics Agency Board, where she leads the Finance and Administration Committee, showcasing her expertise in governance and strategic oversight.
