DISSEMINATION OF THE 2025 ECONOMIC CENSUS ESTABLISHMENT CENSUS PRELIMINARY RESULTS AND THE 2024/2025 POST HARVEST SURVEY RESULTS
The Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) successfully completed the data collection for the 2025 Economic Establishment Census (EEC), which was conducted from 1st May to 31st October 2025. The Census covered both formal and informal economic establishments across all provinces and districts of Zambia and represents a major statistical undertaking aimed at providing comprehensive and up-to-date information on the structure, size, and distribution of economic activity in the country.
Further, the Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock also conducted the 2024/2025 Post Harvest Survey (PHS) in the last quarter of 2025. The PHS validates the Crop Forecasting Survey (CFS) by providing actual production estimates for both crops and livestock.
The Agency has since finalised the processing, validation, and analysis of the Census and the PHS data and is ready to disseminate the results to the public. The results will be disseminated today, Tuesday 24th March, 2026.
