Provincial GDP Estimates – 2021

The distribution of GDP by province shows that Lusaka and Copperbelt Provinces accounted for over 50 percent of the National GDP at current prices in 2021, contributing 31 and 22 percent, respectively. Muchinga Province had the least share of the National GDP at 2 percent. In 2021, Lusaka province GDP share increased by 1.1 percentage points, while the contribution of Southern, Copperbelt and Muchinga provinces to national GDP declined by1.2, 0.8 and 0.6 percentage points respectively (see Figure 2).
