Year-on-Year Inflation Rate for May 2026 at 6.6 percent
Annual inflation for May 2026 was recorded at 6.6 percent, from 6.8 percent recorded in April 2026. This means that on average, prices of goods and services increased by 6.6 percent between May 2025 and May 2026. This development was attributed to price movements in food items (see Figure 1).
