The UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) are delighted to open up a limited number of spaces for attendees of the 2023 IAOS - ISI conference to attend a one-day taster of their Statistical Leadership Programme on Monday 3rd April.

There is no charge for attendance, and we will provide lunch, but you will need to arrange your own travel and accommodation. There are limited spaces on the course, so please only sign up if you are making a firm commitment to attend.

Registration of delegates will be done online. All delegates are advised to collect their conference IDs and other conference materials upon arrival at the Conference venue. Issuance of conference ID cards and bags will start on Sunday 2nd  and continue on Monday 3rd April, 2023  between 8:00am – 5:00pm.
All participants will be required to wear their identification badges all the time to be allowed entry into the conference venues for identification and security purposes. Participants should ensure they present their passports for onsite accreditation.

The conference will be conducted in English and French and translators will be made available for translations.

Requirements for visitor’s visas to Zambia differ from country to country. Participants are encouraged to ascertain well in advance whether or not they will need a visa to enter Zambia, as well as applicable exemptions.

All Delegates applying for VISAs for the IAOS-ISI Conference to channel their applications directly to Immigration Office for processing and not through Zambia Statistics Agency as earlier advised. This will enable the Immigration Department to process VISA as quickly as possible. Kindly note that you do not need to upload copies of certified Certificate of Incorporation. All you need to upload is the invitation letter from ZamStats and other documents (EXCL. CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION). PLEASE APPLY FOR A BUSINESS VISA

The Immigration Department also requires that all participants’ passports should be valid for at least 6 months before expiry.

Holders of diplomatic passports as well as United Nations Laissez Passer will receive visas gratis.

Delegates who require visas to enter Zambia are also strongly encouraged to apply and obtain visas online via the Immigration Website.

The Workshop and meeting will be held at AVANI Victoria Falls Resort in Livingstone, Zambia.

The negotiated room rates for participants is USD129 (bed and breakfast included) for a Standard Room at AVANI Victoria Falls Resort where the conference will take place. The hotel will also provide shuttle services to and from the airport. The Hotel will also provide separate prayer rooms –for our male and female delegates requiring these. It will also provide Iftar and Suhoor meals for colleagues fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
