Zambia population-based HIV impact assessment (ZAMPHIA)

The Zambia Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (ZAMPHIA) is a household-based national survey. It is designed to provide information on HIV-related indicators that characterize the HIV epidemic in Zambia and provide greater clarity on the impact of the national HIV program. These include HIV incidence, HIV prevalence, CD4 count distribution, the prevalence of detectable ARVs, Viral load suppression, and HIV drug resistance. In addition, the survey collects information on selected behaviors typically associated with HIV acquisition and transmission, and on common HIV comorbidities and other health conditions.
