ZamStats Successfully Concludes Participation at the 98th Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show

The Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) has successfully concluded its participation at the 98th Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show, held under the theme “Fostering Trade and Investment.”The six-day exhibition provided an excellent platform for the Agency to raise awareness of the importance of official statistics and their role in supporting evidence-based decision-making and Zambia’s socio-economic development.

Throughout the exhibition, the ZamStats Stand welcomed hundreds of visitors from government institutions, the private sector, academia, cooperating partners, students, and the general public. Visitors had the opportunity to engage with the Agency’s staff, experience live demonstrations of the ZamStats Interactive Dashboard, explore a wide range of statistical products and publications, and participate in interactive quizzes designed to promote statistical literacy.

One of the standout highlights of this year’s Show was the growing public interest in official statistics. Through engaging conversations and practical demonstrations, visitors gained a deeper appreciation of how official statistics inform policy formulation, development planning, investment decisions, research, and service delivery across the country.

The Agency also showcased its commitment to innovation by demonstrating digital tools such as the ZamStats Interactive Dashboard, which makes official statistics more accessible through dynamic visualisations and an enhanced user experience.
