ZamStats currently conducting the Integrated Agriculture Survey (IAS)

The Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) through the Agriculture Statistics Division in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock (MFL) and Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MoGEE) is currently conducting an Integrated Agricultural Survey (IAS). The data collection for the survey started on 3rd February 2025 and will run up to 28th February, 2025. The survey will gather valuable insights on agricultural production (crop and livestock) that will help improve farming practices, polices and support programs.

Objective

The IAS will cover various agriculture subsectors including crops, livestock and forestry within the framework of the 50×2030 Initiative, a multi-agency partnership by World Bank, Food Agriculture Organization (FAO), and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The 50×2030 aims to advance data-driven agriculture and enhance national agricultural data systems across 50 countries by the year 2030.

Taking part in this survey is really important because it will help us get vital information directly from the general public and the insights gathered will be used by farmers and the government to make policy decisions and to plan for our future.

Your participation is crucial in shaping the future of our agricultural sector of this country!

Thank you for your time and support
