CUMULATIVE TOTAL TRADE, JAN-APR (2025 AND 2026) (K’ Billion)

The country recorded a trade surplus of K3.5 billion in April 2026 compared to the surplus of K0.9 billion recorded in March 2026 (see Table 10).
Exports mainly comprising domestically produced goods, increased by 1.5 percent from K25.0 billion in March 2026 to K25.4 billion in April 2026. This was mainly on account of increases in export earnings from Raw materials by 17.8 percent and Capital goods by 0.4 percent.
Imports decreased by 9.3 percent from K24.1 billion in March 2026 to K21.9 billion in April 2026. This was mainly as a result of decreases in import bills of Consumer goods by 43.5 percent and Raw materials by 1.7 percent (see Table 2.2 in Annex).
