ZamStats Board Chairperson Receives an award during the ISI World Statistics Congress

The Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) would like to congratulate its Board Chairperson, Mr. Oliver Chinganya, for receiving an International Statistical Institute Service (ISI) award during the 65th World Statistics Congress 2025 in Hague. Mr Chinganya received an award for outstanding and dedicated leadership and service to ISI and the statistical community in Statistical capacity Building Development and Innovations.
Mr. Chinganya is the outgoing Vice President of the ISI, a position he held since 2021. Mr. Chinganya has a wealth of experience, proven leadership, and a distinguished track record in advancing statistical development and data-driven policymaking across the African continent.
Mr. Chinganya, in his role as Zamstats Board Chairperson continues to champion statistics in Zambia as a cornerstone for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He calls for greater investment in data and emphasizes its role in shaping evidence-based policies.
